EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC (WHICH TERM INCLUDES THE PRESS) To consider whether, pursuant to Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, the public should be excluded from the meeting for the business specified below on the grounds that if the public were present during this item, it is likely that there would be the disclosure to them of exempt information as indicated against the item.
The author of the report proposed to be considered in Part 2 of the Agenda is satisfied that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information. |

NON COMPLIANCE WITH SANCTIONS IMPOSED BY MONITORING OFFICER RE CODE OF CONDUCT COMPLAINTS - LONG MELFORD PARISH COUNCIL Decision: That sanctions which relate to written apologies to be made to the Clerk of Long Melford Parish Council be stayed for 1 month from the date of the hearing. If Councillor C Michette has not instigated legal proceedings as detailed in her mitigation during that period, the sanctions should be complied with.
That sanctions relating to the establishment of both a member/officer protocol and a protocol for accessing the parish council offices by Long Melford Parish Council be reinforced and actioned.
That sanctions relating to training to be undertaken should be reinforced and actioned.
That sanctions relating to the complaint from Councillor Tipper be upheld and a written apology be sent to Councillor Tipper, copying in the Monitoring Officer, as soon as possible.
