Decision:
A report seeking formal approval of the
Babergh Locality Grant Scheme was due to be presented to Babergh
Cabinet on the 9 April 2020. That meeting has been cancelled
following general health advice issued in relation to the
Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. No alternate meeting date is
available to provide approval for the Locality Grant Scheme to be
implemented in time to support the Covid -19 outbreak.
•The reason for the decision is to give Babergh District
Councillors the flexibility to provide financial assistance to
groups and projects in their wards by seeking agreement and
financial commitment to establish a ‘Locality Awards
Scheme’ for Babergh District Councillors to support eligible
groups and projects within wards.
