To award the main build contract for the
re-development of the former Stowmarket Middle school site to
Pentaco Construction.
The tender process for the main build contract was carried out by
Richard Utting Associates (RUA) acting as Employers’ Agent
and Quantity Surveyor for Mid Suffolk District Council as
sub-consultant via Iceni Homes. RUA were instructed to compile a
tender for the design and construction of 42 dwellings, with
associated works at the former Middle School site, off Walnut Tree
Tree Walk, Stowmarket.
The tender process was undertaken during 2020 but there were
several delays to award for a variety of reasons including the
COVID-19 pandemic.
