The Suffolk Health and Wellbeing Board was established in accordance with the introduction of the Health and Social Care Act 2012. The Board is responsible for the delivery of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and Suffolk’s Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy. The first Health and Wellbeing Strategy was approved and implemented in 2013 and has since been refreshed and updated on a 3-yearly basis. The Board has a duty to encourage integrated working between health, care, police, and other public services in order to improve wellbeing outcomes in Suffolk.
